Carsten Lohff

Harpsichordist, studied his instrument and musicology at the Musikhochschule of Hambourg, his birth town. He carried on his musical  studies with Johann Sonnleitner in Zurich, Bob van Asperen in La Haye and Gustav Leonhardt in Amsterdam.
He has teached at the Musikhochschule of Hambourg and at the Meistersinger-Konservatorium of Nuremberg. He is currently harpsichord professor at the Hochschule für Künste of Bremen. Parallel to this teaching activity he is also member of the Ensemble Cantus Cölln, with whom he has achieved several recordings and played with numerous chamber music orchestras. 

 

Anne-Catherine Bücher

Harpsichordist and organist, has accomplished her musical studies with Michèle Dévérité, Norbert Pétry Huguette Dreyfus, Françoise Lengellé Robert Kohnen, Martin Gester und Jesper Christensen. She’s also teaching harpsichord at the Academy of Metz. Regularly invited for master classes and international academies of ancient music, she performs as soloist and continuist in all Europe and Latin America. She directs the Ensemble “le Concert Lorrain » since 2002. Member of Compania Musical led by Josep Cabré, she also plays with  le Concert Spirituel of Hervé Niquet and the Arsys of Pierre Cao, both with whom she has made several recordings. She works in collaboration with the Opera of Nancy for the preparation of baroque productions. 

Christine Moran

Christine Moran, violinist, received her diploma from the university of California in Berkeley where she learned harpsichord with Laurette Goldberg. She pursued her baroque violin education in Canada with Carlo Novi. She owns a master of music of the University of Montreal, where she has teached chamber music, played and record with the Arion Ensemble and the Studio of ancient music of Montreal. Living in Germany since 1995, she is also member of the Ensemble Musica Fiata and of the Cappella Coloniensis. She plays in North America with the Trinity Consort.

Benjamin Perrot

Benjamin Perrot, theorbist, studied lute, theorbo and baroque guitar in Paris with Eric Bellocq and Claire Antonini, as well as continuo at the Baroque Studio of Versailles where he tooks advantage of the teaching of Yvon Repérant. He improved then with Pascal Monteilhet. He is invited nowadays as soloist and continuist in Ensembles such as Il Seminario Musicale of Gérard Lesne, L’Ensemble Pierre Robert of Frédéric Désenclos, le Concert Spirituel of Hervé Niquet. Together with Florence Bolton, he has founded and co-directs the Ensemble La Rêveuse. Benjamin Perrot teaches lute and theorbo at the Conservatory of Versailles and in various training courses. He's also Chef de Chant at the Center of Baroque Music of Versailles. 

Eric Bellocq

Eric Bellocq, theorbist was student in the class of guitar of Alexandre Lagoya at the Conservatoire  National of Paris, where he also studied harmony and Ancient Music. He receives his Diploma in 1983 with a first price. Then he played several years with Les Arts Florissants of William Christie and took part in many productions of operas and concerts with La Chapelle Royale, Les Musiciens du Louvre, Les Talens Lyriques, La Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy, le Concert Spirituel, Akâdemia, Le Concert d’Astrée and La Fenice. Parallely to solo recitals he joined in 1990 the Ensemble Clement Janequin of Dominique Visse. With the juggler Vincent de Lavenère he created an original spectacle « Le Chant des Balles - The song of the balls » where Ancient Music, improvisation and juggling are mixed. Éric Bellocq has played in more than 30 recordings and teaches at Conservatoire National of Paris.

Stefan Legée

Stefan Legée, sackbutist, first studied music in Reims with Amédée Grivillers, then in Paris in the class of Gilles Millières. He obtained the third Price of the International Contest of Prag in 1987. His very diversified musical activity mainly articulates itself around Ancient Music. He plays with Jordi Savall, William Christie, Les Saqueboutiers de Toulouse, La Fenice, René Jacobs, Fabio Biondi and the Ensemble "Ventosum". Stéphane Legée has participated to numerous creations, is also trombone soloist of the orchestra of the « Concerts Colonne » and teaches at the Musical Conservatory of St Maur.

Freddy Eichelberger

Freddy Eichelberger, organist and harpsichordist, was born in Paris. After deep studies of organist and harpsichordist, he mainly dedicates himself to chamber music on ancient instruments and to musical theatre with for instance the Ensemble « Les Witches ». His growing taste for improvisation brought him to play with musicians of all origin, as well as being a teacher and soloist at the Festival of Improvised Music of Lausanne and in various academies. He co-organizes the Edition of complete Bach cantatas to be performed in the Bastille Eglise Réformée of Paris.

Julie Hassler

Julie Hassler, soprano, first studied bassoon, percussion, composition and voice at the conservatory in her native Montpellier.  She then specialized in the performance of early music at the Paris Conservatory and at the Studio Baroque de Versailles. Since 1993 she appears regularly with different ensembles such as Les Musiciens du Louvres (Marc Minkowski), La Grande Ecurie et la Chambre du Roy (Jean-Claude Malgoire), La Symphonie du Marais (Hugo Reyne), and Doulce Mémoire (Denis Raisin-Dadre). Her repertoire, though principally baroque, also includes Renaissance works as well as contemporary music. Notably, she participated, with Les Jeunes Solistes (Rachid Safir), in the first performance of Fénelon’s madrigals on the Duino Elegies by Rilke. She teaches baroque singing at the Charles Münch Conservatory in Paris.

Katharina Bäuml

Born in Munich Katharina Bäuml, oboe, shawm, dulcian, first studied modern oboe in Hannover, Hamburg and Mannheim. Passionate by historical woodwind instruments she then pursued her studies of barock oboe in Hamburg, finishing them with Katharina Arfken at the “Schola Cantorum” in Basel.  For both studies she obtains Diplomas with 1st Class Honours. She has played under the Direction of several famous Directors like Claudio Abbadio, Pierre Boulez and Marc Minkowski. Regularly invited to perform with the most prestigious Ancient Music Orchestras Katharina has appeared in numerous recordings. In 2005 she has founded the ensemble “Capella de la Torre” dedicated to the music of the XVth and XVIth centuries especially for double reed instruments. She gives master classes and is currently living in Braunschweig, Germany, where she also teaches oboe and shawm.

Pierre-Alain Clerc

Pierre-Alain Clerc, organist, is titular of the organs in churches St-Laurent and St-Paul his home town Lausanne in Switzerland. He also teaches organ at the Music Conservatory of Lausanne and harpsichord as well as basso continuo at the Center of Ancient Music in Geneva. In parallel to his activity of concert performer, he regularly plays as comedian. Both these musical and theatrical activities have naturally led him to start studying musical rhetoric first, French classical declamation then, both of which he teaches through lectures, training classes and conferences.
